If you’re a control freak, I’m willing to bet you might be a people-pleaser, too.

Why, you ask?

Because people-pleasing is LITERALLY controlling how other people view you.

You don’t risk going in all Willy-Nilly, being yourself.

No, no, no.

You’d run the risk of other people viewing you in a negative light!

(Although that's entirely subjective, and a topic for another day.)

So instead, you scope it out, and adjust your actions, based on your audience. Said audience reacts favorably, (they love you!) and you remain in control.

That shit’s exhausting, and truly why I think some people drink.

I see you. I feel you. And I like wine, too.

Cheers to being aware, and choosing to work toward authenticity over control- even if we need to chase it with the occasional Cabernet Sauvignon.
