Issa Season

Where you are RIGHT NOW is the season you’re in.

(And no, I don’t mean the Christmas one.)

I mean, there is literally nothing constant in life. If your life seasons aren’t changing, well… then you’re probably not alive.

It doesn’t matter whether you are loving your life and want time to freeze, or are hating your life and wish you could fast forward to the next season- it’s absolutely going to change.

Keep this in mind. Always.

This sentiment keeps us present in the moments we are loving. It helps us really enjoy and appreciate what we have.

It’s me telling myself, ‘Man, I love how tiny and sweet and cute this baby is. It’s going to change quickly, so imma soak it up right now. Take note of her smell. How her soft skin feels. Take a pic or video of that super cute wave she’s doing, because I want to remember this moment in time.’

On the flip side, there will be days and seasons we don’t want to endure. But knowing that things WILL inevitably change, we can get through anything. Like, life isn’t how I was hoping it would be right now, but I’ll learn the lesson (if there is one), and keep moving forward. This season will change, too.

It’s me saying, ‘Man, I wish I could get to the gym again like I used to. I want to feel good like I did. But right now, I have a little baby, and I’m adjusting to a new schedule with her still. That’s my priority at the moment. I’m gonna do what I can for now, and know that sooner than later, she will be big and it won’t be an issue. My time’s coming, it’s just not here yet.’

So when you’re like, ‘I LOVE MY LIFE!’, it’s gonna change.

And when you’re like, ‘LIFE IS KICKING MY ASS RIGHT NOW!’, it’s gonna change.

(And now, the quick ‘flip side’ version you know I like to throw in: make sure you’re not blaming your life sucking purely on circumstances and seasons, if you’re just being lazy. Learn the difference.)

Enjoy. Learn. Keep on. And experience alllll the seasons that make your life… yours.
